My first sailing experience ever was on Hokahey for a day long adventure
 that took us around the Bay with a stop at Angel Island for an afternoon hike.
I had no idea what I was missing out on and how peaceful and lovely sailing is. Jan made it such an enjoyable day. There is something magical about being on the water and taking in the views of San Francisco, the three bridges and Alcatraz and Angel Island that just can’t be achieved anywhere else. 

In addition to the beautiful catamaran, Jan’s easy-going and engaging energy and the skill that he brings to sailing made for the perfect first-time experience. His passion for sailing is contagious and he is dedicated to making sure that while on Hokahey people have an opportunity to relax and take in the beauty of being on the water. Since that first experience, I have had the opportunity to go out on Hokahey for other adventures including sailing to the Farallones, whale watching trips, sightseeing with visiting friends and day long meditations. And every trip has been just as amazing and fun.

Hokahey is a great boat for these adventures because you can be out on the front of the boat enjoying the sun, wind and waves or you can relax in the main cabin (where you can still see all around the boat) and remain warm and dry. 

It is great to know who to refer people to when they are looking for an opportunity to enjoy the Bay on a catamaran or have an adventure that can be customized to suit the wishes of the group.

We had a great day on the bay today with Jan. It started cold and cloudy with very choppy water which was great with us! Loved the excitement! Stopped on Angel Island for a bit of a walk around and enjoyed the rest of the trip back to the marina with calmer waters. The boat is comfortable and we absolutely recommend this trip!

We are repeat visitors several times over! Hokahey is such a beautiful vessel that offers a very pleasant sailing experience because of its spacious dual hull design. Unlike traditional (monohull) sailboats, Hokahey rides level, making for potluck meals being nice and stable at the dining area! Jan, the captain, is a super gracious host providing added fun and knowledge of sailing to the trips as well. Our whole family is a huge fan of this local adventure!!
